🐠 Goldfish – Description

The goldfish is one of the most popular and recognizable pet fish in the world, known for its vibrant colors, graceful swimming, and peaceful temperament. Native to East Asia and selectively bred over centuries, goldfish come in many varieties—ranging from the classic orange comet to fancy breeds with flowing fins, bubble eyes, or round bodies.

Goldfish are intelligent, social, and can even recognize their owners over time. Though often kept in bowls, they thrive best in properly filtered aquariums or outdoor ponds with plenty of space. With proper care, some goldfish can live 10–20 years or more and grow surprisingly large.
